Bungendore Bridge Club joins Bridge Federation of ACT (BFACT)
The President reported the Bungendore Bridge Club recently affiliated with BFACT which now has eight clubs under its umbrella. On 1 November we were delighted to welcome Wendy Boxall and her partner, Julia Hoffman to our Saturday session. They came bearing gifts of some beautiful playing cards which will be a useful replacement for some of our ‘stickier’ ones. They also stayed to play in our Saturday Session, completely wiping the floor with us, scoring 96 Match points to 54 points for second place, our own madam president!
As the member clubs are closer and BFACT is being very proactive and inclusive we would urge all our members to seriously consider taking part in some of the events that will be closer to home for us.
Just so the members know, there are now have 7 affiliated clubs:
Bungendore Bridge Club
Canberra Bridge Club (in Deakin)
Capital Bridge Club (in Belconnen)
Cootamundra Bridge Club
Gungahlin Bridge Club (meet at Gungahlin Lakes Club)
Monaro Bridge Club (at Cooma)
South Canberra Bridge Club (in Woden)
The Club now has a new ID number: 1-853. All other conditions remain the same and Master Points continue to accrue the members’ ABF numbers as before.
