An invitation to the 2025 Bridge NSW State-Wide Pairs
1-7 August 2025

 

The SWP is a single-session event, played face-to-face in clubs in the first week of August. The club organiser will receive all relevant instructions by email a few weeks prior to the event.

For those clubs that have not previously competed, here’s a quick synopsis:

  • The event may be run anytime in the week from 1-7 August.
  • Only face-to-face sessions are permitted – no online sessions regardless of platform.
  • There is no need to disrupt your normal duplicate pairs sessions, as the State-Wide Pairs can be included as a normal session. Casual (non-competing) pairs can be accommodated, so you do not have to turn away pairs who don't wish to participate.
  • Dealing files and hand records will be emailed to your designated dealer. The hand records include an analysis of all the hands played, to be distributed to the players after the game.
  • The event is matchpointed across the state after the results from all participating clubs have been received.
  • Cash prizes will be awarded, as well as gift vouchers, and certificates for the winners in each club. Prizes are also awarded in the divisions of Under 25, Under 50 and Under 100 masterpoints, as of 30th June 2025.
  • Red masterpoints are issued at Congress B4 level. We will process the red points for the event, but you are welcome to also award normal club green points for your session.

 

The entry fee will remain at $10 per pair ($5 per player). Results, prizes and certificates will be sent to all clubs as soon as possible after the event, and the results will be posted on the BNSW web site.
