Beginners Course for Bridge in Canberra

Details are as follows:

  • Wednesdays 30 Oct to 4 Dec, 9:45am – 11:45am

  • 2 hrs each lesson

  • Canberra Southern Cross Club, Woden,  Community Room 1 

  • $75 ($60 for Canberra Southern Cross Club members)

Our presenter is Steve Geddes. Steve has been teaching bridge for 25 of his 30 years as a player. He has had ongoing teaching roles with the South Australian Bridge Association and the Canberra Bridge Club as well as running numerous workshops for individuals, partners and community groups. 

The lessons are based on the content of the book Beginners Bridge by Derrick Browne. 

The book has six chapters with each week’s lesson being based on one of the chapters.

Responder Shifts

Opening 1NT

Overcalls and Doubles

Every student will receive a copy of the book, lesson notes and expert tuition from Steve.
